Website Submission
When a website owner or manager submits a website to our search engine for possible inclusion we ask for your contact information so that we can establish a rapport with you. We also verify ownership information against the Whois database.
Order Forms
When you purchase a magazine subscription or directory, you’re asked for credit card, billing, and shipping information. This information is used to bill customers for goods and services purchased and to ship merchandise. We use Authorize.net secure processing and your information is stored securely. No outside vendors or other parties are ever given access to any of this data.
Online Surveys
Throughout the year Cybersocket has various surveys and polls in addition to its annual Web Awards. We collect information only as it is volunteered. Some of it is required in order to verify that your vote or input is valid. We do not sell the data collected and we do not share this information with any outside parties.
Message Boards
Participation in the Cybersocket message boards means that some of your contact information may (at your discretion) be disclosed to other participants in the message board.
Newsletters
When you participate in various contests or other media events with Cybersocket your email address is gathered. You are not automatically subscribed to any of our newsletters. You may receive communication directly related to the specific event or promotion you were involved in. You may be asked if you are interested in opting into a newsletter. Once you are subscribed to one of our eNewsletter lists you can opt-out at any time.
