The Men of C1R

Keith Lemaitre profiles some of the most popular models from Channel 1 Releasing.

Founded back in 1998, Channel 1 Releasing and director/co-founder Chi Chi LaRue quickly became two of the best known names in gay adult entertainment. For the last two decades, C1R has remained a leader as the industry has transitioned from VHS tapes to DVD’s to online content. Some of the well known directors who have worked for C1R include Chi Chi LaRue, Jerry Douglas, Dirk Yates, William Higgins, Scott Masters, and Doug Jeffries. In addition, C1R’s pioneering live cam products were among the first to popularize live online entertainment for gay consumers.

Over the years, C1R’s portfolio has grown to encompass a number of popular brands including Rascal, Boneyard, All Worlds, Catalina, and Dirk Yates. As a result, C1R’s model roster includes a diverse mix of ages, ethnicities, and types ranging from twinks, jocks, and gay-for-pay heartthrobs to bodybuilders, scruffy daddies, military men, and hardcore kinksters.
