Gay porn fans are loyal, but it’s an industry where consumers are always in search of something new. In response, porn studios are constantly introducing fresh faces. This month we’ll take a look at some of the gay porn stars whose careers look like they could be poised to take off in 2012.



MARC DYLAN
Director Mr. Pam called Marc Dylan a dream boy and says he’s got the best abs that she’s ever seen. After a rough start (Dylan did some bareback videos that he’s since said he regrets), he’s been cast by some of porn’s biggest studios, including Lucas, Falcon, Jet Set, Hot House, and Titan. In a contentious industry, few stars see that type of alignment. If you don’t see Marc Dylan everywhere in 2012, you probably aren’t looking.



MASON STAR
Sex is easy, but stardom is fickle. Mason Star should know. He dated the Jarics when he was still a teen. He tried straight-for-pay with Next Door Male. And he had sex with one of his idols, Rod Daily. But it wasn’t until Mason Star signed with Cockyboys that this sexual athlete began to break from the pack. His smoldering stare and endless versatility didn’t hurt, of course. But even in today’s world where relentless social networking and endless self-promotion can turn you into an overnight star (just ask Wolf Hudson), it still doesn’t hurt to have a high-profile site reminding everyone of your name.

THE BLACK SPARK
The Black Spark’s moody, dark, and Kubrick-esque porn clips were one of the biggest stories of 2011. The mystery surrounding the production (Who was the Black Spark? Why wouldn’t he show his face?) stoked the media frenzy, but it was his erotically charged videos that kept it all going. Recently, he was identified as “Kevin”, a former Sean Cody model, but that hasn’t seemed to slow his rise. Maybe he’ll take off his famous mask and maybe he won’t – but after reading his profile in Out Magazine, we suspect that the Black Spark might just be gunning to become the next Francois Sagat.

CHRIS CROCKER
Chris Crocker isn’t exactly new to the Internet. The YouTube sensation’s mascara-streaked Leave Britney Alone cri de couer garnered over 40 million views and spawned dozens of copycat performances (including ones from stars like Seth Green.) In the years since then, Crocker has tried to distance himself from the trans-teen idol persona which first attracted all the attention. He’s taken off the make-up, cut his hair, and posted nude pics on the web. This past summer, he announced that he’d be shooting four videos with Chi Chi LaRue’s Channel 1. Could he be the next Steven Daigle?

BRANDON WILDE
It’s amazing that Brandon Wilde isn’t a household name yet. If it weren’t for the lingering effects of the recession, he’d have been the focus of a studio bidding war. His face alone could launch a thousand box covers. He’s not gone unnoticed exactly – Chi Chi LaRue put him in great scene with Brent Everett, but we can imagine someone this cute will be able to avoid the spotlight too much longer.

BEAU WARNER
Beefcake doesn’t begin to describe this Randy Blue discovery. His pecs are like a gladiator’s breastplate; his legs as steady as a bridge abutment. And yet somehow he retains his boyishness. He did a solo video for Randy in August, but Randy says that this muscle jock is just getting started. Given Randy’s record with similar specimens – Reese Rideout, Cayden Ross, Jeremy Walker – we’re expecting big things from Beau in 2012.

BILLY BYRON
No one in Jason Curious’ roster is working more steadily than Billy Byron and it’s not hard to see why. Knowing eyes. Bronze, supple skin and an endless bottom. But it was Byron’s selection of as a “trophy boy” at this year’s Grabby that really put him in the public eye. Falcon Studios was quick to use him and this fall he was flown to Paris to work with Homo Punx star Brice Farmer. He says he’s shy, but isn’t that what all the mega-stars claim?

WILL HELM
Most stars debut with a trial run in someone else’s star vehicle. Will Helm burst onto the scene on the box cover on Retreat, and at this point all that’s left for him to do is advance.
