Mobile Gaming: Homoerotic Phone & Browser Games

Mobile Gaming: Homoerotic Phone & Browser Games

Arvo Otterman explores mobile games that include homoerotic romance options, as well as some browser games that go even further.

This month we'll be looking at LGBTQ-inclusive mobile games that are available for both Android & iOS. These games all include some kind of homoerotic romance, whether its the main focus or just a subplot.

GAYDORADO
Android  iOS
Gaydorado is a gay-themed dating/marriage/runway-battle sim packed with cute, homoerotic visuals and a huge assortment of provocative apparel and accessories for your characters to wear. The game is broken into story missions and there’s a PvP battle system allowing players to determine who’s more stylish. An LBS positioning system helps players to stay connected in the real world and the game’s real-time translation feature makes it possible for players from around the world to converse freely among four different languages. The more time you spend customizing your characters and interacting with other players, the more fun you’ll have.

BROWSER-BASED GAMES

At
DudeleStudio you can check out a collection of casual, Flash-based games with homoerotic themes. These are quick, light diversions that you’ll probably play just once or twice.

For something a little more engaging, check out
Gay Harem. The first few minutes may feel like a simple graphic novel with only minimal interactions, but hang in there for a little bit longer and the game will begin introducing its gameplay systems and then set you loose to begin building up your harem. The game’s twisted concept and over-the-top humor grows on you, and it’s actually pretty fun. My nickname for this game is, “The Cluster B Male Simulator.”

LGBT-INCLUSIVE TEXT ADVENTURES

Choice of Games
Android • iOS
Choice Of Games creates text-based, interactive stories that are always LGBTQ-inclusive and gender-inclusive. There are dozens of Choice of Games adventures available and I’ll list a few of my personal favorites below. On Android, each game is treated as a standalone app. On iOS, there’s just one “Choice of Games” app (which presumably contains the game engine) and each of the different game titles are available as DLC items that you can choose to download via the main app. So to find the specific games below on iOS devices, download the Choice of Games app and then check out the DLC that’s available for it.

Choice of Robots
Android
The robots you design will change the world one day. Will you give them emotions and teach them the true meaning of love, or will you deny them sentience and use them to conquer Alaska? This epic 300,000-word interactive sci-fi novel covers thirty years of your life, from graduate school in the present day to a future in which robots have changed the world. Depending on your choices, your robots may be independent or obedient, clumsy or graceful, empathic or cold. And you yourself may live to an old age happily married, or end up alone with only robots to comfort you. This game features nine different characters to potentially romance, four alternate climax chapters, and over seventy achievements to unlock.

Affairs of the Court: Choice of Romance
Android
This interactive story is filled with romance, deception and court intrigue. Will you match wits with the schemers of the court, or play your suitors off of each other? Will you find true love, or use love as a tool to gain power and wealth?

Creatures Such As We
Android
This game is set on the moon and features philosophical themes, romance, and a game within a game.
