In It To Win It:
Five Career Porn Stars

Benji Lovari profiles five adult performers who have all remained continually active and popular for over a decade.

By Benji Lovari

Gay porn stardom can often be fleeting. When you sign an exclusive contract with a large studio or website, you'll probably enjoy some time in the limelight. If your scenes are popular, you might be showcased on DVD covers, featured at live events, and made available for interviews. However, gay porn fans are always hungry for new faces, so it can be a challenge to keep that momentum going year after year. Building a long lasting porn career and keeping yourself relevant to fans requires a lot of dedication, hard work, professionalism, and charisma. In addition, you have to have a unique, authentic identity with which fans can easily connect – and the core qualities that define you need to stay somewhat consistent even as you continually reinvent yourself over the years to keep things interesting. It's not enough to just keep doing the same thing over and over again. To keep their fans engaged, career porn stars must constantly grow and evolve as both people and performers. That can be a big challenge in any profession, but it's especially hard when your job involves being in the public eye.

This month we'll take a look at some gay adult performers who have stood the test of time. These performers have all worked in adult entertainment for over a decade, with most of them continuously performing during that time. With each passing year, they've somehow managed to become even more attractive, appealing, and engaging to porn fans. These five performers definitely aren't the only ones who have remained successful for more than a decade, but we chose them as our examples because they've become popular icons who are now recognized almost universally by gay porn consumers, regardless of whether or not they happen to be fans.

TopherDiMaggio
Topher DiMaggio has been active in porn and other facets of the adult industry since 2007. More than a decade after making his debut, he's remains as popular as ever and has become one of gay porn's best known icons.  Topher has appeared in at least nine video titles from Falcon and has also worked with Raging Stallion, Hot House, Cocky Boys, Titan Men, Dominic Ford, Chaos Men, Men.com, Cocksure Men, Pride Studios, Randy Blue, and many more. In addition to his porn work, Topher is also an official spokesmodel for Fleshjack and a popular underwear model for Andrew Christian. If you're a fan of Topher, be sure to check out Cybersocket's previous interviews and articles that have featured him, including One-on-One With Topher Dimaggio, Luck O' the Irish: Gay Porn Stars of Irish Descent, and The Men of Falcon Studios. In The Men of Falcon Studios you'll find links to Topher's social media accounts, blog, website, and YouTube videos.

Brent Corrigan
Brent Corrigan has been active in the gay adult industry since 2006. During the last decade he has become one of the industry's most famous gay adult performers; established himself in mainstream Hollywood as an independent actor, director, and producer; spent time focusing on his lifelong passion for competitive horseback riding; made the cover of numerous magazines and been showcased in both photo spreads and interviews; and completed a book about his life. Brent has been honored by all of the gay adult awards shows and this June he took home the Viewer's Choice Award for Favorite Gay Porn Star at the inaugural Str8UpGayPorn Awards. Brent is currently a Falcon Exclusive, but during his adult career he has also worked for other popular studios and websites such as NakedSword Originals, Icon Male, Jet Set, and Active Duty, In addition, Brent is an official spokesmodel for Fleshjack, where he has his own line of toys. Pierre Fitch
Eternally youthful Canadian star Pierre Fitch has been active in the gay adult industry and in front of the cameras for more than 17 years, and his worldwide fan base just continues to grow with each passing year. Being multi-faceted has helped Pierre to achieve and maintain his status as a porn and pop culture icon. Pierre's porn career has included working for many of the industry's leading studios and websites, founding his own company, producing his own DVD's, and launching his own website. Studios that Pierre has worked with include Cocky Boys, Falcon Studios, HM Boys, Videoboys, and Boys Condo. Over the years, Pierre has been recognized with numerous industry awards for his work. Concurrent with his porn career, Pierre has also been a popular blogger and social media personality, a gymnast and fitness expert, and an internationally recognized DJ who has played at large events all over the globe. Pierre has also danced professionally at clubs throughout Montreal and the United States – and he's always a hit when he makes personal appearances at special events. During his career, fans have had the opportunity to watch Pierre's look slowly evolve from that of a clean cut twink early in his career to today's amazingly buff, sculpted athlete with some gorgeous tattoo work. Lukas Ridgeston
Lukas Ridgeston has been active in the adult industry since 1993 – nearly 25 years. He was one of Bel Ami's first and most popular exclusive models and he appeared in countless Bel Ami DVD's, often gracing the covers. After a number of years working in front of the camera, Lukas decided to transition to working behind the scenes. He was hungry for new challenges and wanted to master every aspect of film production rather than simply remaining a performer. Since then, Lukas RIdgeston has gone from being one of the studio's all time most popular performers to becoming one of its most successful and talented directors. In recent years, he delighted fans by making a comeback in front of the cameras after many years behind the scenes. The lithe twink was gone and in his place was a stunningly handsome Adonis with a god-like physique and a face that had only become more handsome with age.
